Sachin Tendulkar continues to inspire with his latest video on road safety

Fans on Twitter lauded the move by the legend as they were full of praise for him.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who has been a legendary figure even after retirement continues to inspire the people around him and his post on Twitter today is a sublime proof of that. Often regarded as the ‘God of cricket’ by fans and even contemporaries around the world, Sachin posted a video where he urged bikers to wear helmets while riding bikes and the importance of road safety on the streets of Kerala.

Sachin tweeted an apt caption alongside the video: “Rider or pillion, both lives matter equally. Please, please make wearing helmets a habit. Just my opillion :).”

It can be seen in the video that people went berserk as Sachin himself asks them to don their helmets. Fans on Twitter lauded the move by the legend as they were full of praise for him. Soon enough, he posted a picture of him wearing a seatbelt while sitting in the back seat thus portraying its significance even for those sitting at the back.

Bengaluru and Mumbai Police laud the master

The Bengaluru Police addressed the citizens to follow the God of cricket.

They tweeted:- “Doesn’t matter how far. just belt up!

Thank you.. God of Cricket.”

The Mumbai Police also applauded Sachin for his efforts to make the citizens aware of wearing the seatbelt.

They tweeted:- “This is possibly @sachin_rt s best shot ever! #SafetyFirst”

Currently a member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, Sachin had also been awarded the highest civilian honour for an Indian, i.e. the Bharat Ratna soon after his retirement from international cricket.

He is widely regarded as the greatest cricketer to have played the game ever since Don Bradman. Amassing over 30000 runs in international cricket, the legendary batsman holds a large range of records to his name. He bid adieu to the game with a grand farewell at the Wankhede Stadium on 16th November, 2013.
