Sachin Tendulkar takes to Twitter to congratulate India on Cape Town victory
Skipper Virat Kohli once again led the attack with a scintillating 160.
The Indian team has been on a roll in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa. After being stuck with poor fortunes in the longer format, the Virat-Kohli led side came back strong as they registered a hat-trick of wins against the Proteas. With the win, last night at Cape Town, the Men in Blue has now taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the six-match series.
Skipper Virat Kohli once again led the attack with a scintillating 160 to take the visitors to a comfortable total of 303. But it was the Indian spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal who spun a web around the hosts as India trounced South Africa by 124 runs.
The wrist spinners shared 8 wickets between them as Yadav returned with figures of 4/23 while Chahal too was one short of a fifer finishing with 4/26.
Lauding the Indian team, legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar put out a short Tweet which perfectly described yesterday’ s proceeding. The Master Blaster took to Twitter and wrote, “Fantastic work by the spin twins @imkuldeep18 and @yuzi_chahal to wrap up the win. Special mention to @msdhoni on getting 400 dismissals in ODI cricket. Congrats on going 3-0 up.

Kohli breaks a host of records
With his majestic ton, Kohli also shattered a host of records. He went past Sourav Ganguly’s (127 in Johannesburg in 2001) in the list of highest individual scores by an Indian batsman against South Africa in the rainbow nation. The 29-year-old also became the second opposition captain to score 150 runs in South Africa (the 1st being Ricky Ponting in 2006 at Johannesburg).
This also marks his 54th International century which makes him the outright 5th-most prolific century-maker in international cricket behind Tendulkar (100), Ponting (71), Sangakkara (63) & Kallis (62). Kohli is currently on par with Mahela Jayawardene and Hashim Amla.
