Sachin’s Blasters v Warne’s Warriors, 1st T20 in pics: The 1st T20 between the Blasters and Warriors unfolded some scintillating candid moments and along with some fine performances. Wasim Akram displayed a class act, while Shoaib Akhtar still carried some raw pace. Ricky Ponting played a match winning knock of unbeaten 48, while Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar took the world to a decade back. The target of 141 seemed like a challenging one, with Shoaib Akhtar, Allan Donald, Ambrose and Pollock in the ranks. Matthew Hayden got out to Shoaib Akhtar, while Jacques Kallis fell short of his crease. Kumar Sangakkara’s 41 off 29 balls, along with 3 sixes and 2 boundaries were vital, as Ricky Ponting did the rest with a match winning 48 not out. With 6 runs to win from 17 balls, Jonty Rhodes recalled all the good times by hitting a lolly from Tendulkar to the stands.
