Sanjit Saha aspires to play for the national team
Sanjit has so far played 9 First-class matches and 27 List A games.
Putting all the hurdles behind, 19-year old Sanjit Saha from Rangpur Division will look to replicate the actions of his friends. Sanjit, who bowls right arm off-break, aspires to play for the nation. He has been recently charged with illegal bowling action but if administrators are to be believed then the youngsters’ career is not under any sort of threat.
Saha has been picked to be a part of the net sessions of the Bangladesh national team, who are preparing for the upcoming series against Australia at home. He will look to provide some assistance, as the Bangladesh line up would like to tackle Nathan Lyon through out the series.
Sanjit said, “Some of my friends are now playing in the national team which is my biggest inspiration. Everyone dreams to be in the national team. now I want to put my concentration playing in the national league. If I could do well in the domestic competition, one day I will also find a place in the national team,” young Sanjit added.
Apart from Sanjit, Nuruzzaman Masum (Partex), Asif Ahmed Ratul (Prime Bank) and Shafiul Hayat (Victoria Sporting Club) have been charged with illegal bowling actions and they will undergo a review in the first week of August.
“We have decided to review their bowling action in the coming week,” Nasir Ahmed, BCB’s management information system (MIS) manager told Cricbuzz on Tuesday. “As far as Sanjit is concerned he seemed to be going back to his old pattern and we need to make sure that is not the case considering his enormous amount of potential,” he added.Sanjit has so far played 9 First-class matches and 27 List A games, picking up 29 and 30 wickets respectively. He has represented Bangladesh U-19 and Old DOHS Sports club apart from turning out for Rangpur Division.
