The Pakistan cricket team is in a place they’ve probably never been before. They were always known to be a bunch who played the game with a lot of passion and did their best to get the result on the field but there was not a lot to talk about their off-field routine. However, with Mickey Arthur as the head coach and Sarfraz Ahmed as the captain, things have changed for the good. Among the many aspects that have changed is discipline.

There is a certain code of conduct for the players that they are bound to follow and it extends to maintaining fitness, following the routine set by the team for practice, etc. As the Pakistan team prepares for the upcoming challenge in England it was noticed that they have a new tradition in place. Skipper Sarfraz has asked the boys to make sure the ground and facilities are as they were behind them.

Video doing rounds

Based on a video that has been doing rounds in the local media, the Pakistani cricketers’ everyone from the seniors to the newbies who are a part of the camp organized at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore put in a lot of effort to clean things up. After wrapping up the practice they went back to pick up the water bottles and dispose them which as per reports happened as per Sarfaraz’s wish.

Usually, it is seen that the newbies are the ones who do all this for the team but the trend has changed in the Pakistan camp. The likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir were seen taking care of things with the juniors like Imam ul Haq.

Pakistan are slated to travel to Ireland where they will play the newly appointed Test team’s first match start May 11 in Dublin. Sarfraz & Co. then travel to England where they play two Test matches at Lord’s and Headingley, the tour starts on May 24 and ends on June 5.
