1 – Shakib Al Hasan is the only player in the ODI history with 2000 runs and 100 wickets at a venue and also the only player with 1000 runs and 50 wickets at a venue in Test cricket. He achieved these all-round doubles at the Dhaka’s Shere Bangla National Stadium.
3 – Shakib is one of the three players alongside Shahid Afridi and Dwayne Bravo to complete the double of 1000 runs and 50 wickets in T20I cricket.
3 – Shakib Al Hasan is one of the three players to score 10000 runs and bag 450+ wickets in International cricket. Jacques Kallis and Shahid Afridi are the other two players with the milestone.
3 – He is one of the three players to score a century and take ten wickets in a Test match. Shakib scored 137 and took 5-wicket hauls in both the innings of the 2014 Khulna Test against Zimbabwe.
4 – Shakib Al Hasan is one of the four bowlers who took a 5-wicket haul in Test cricket against nine different teams. He was the quickest to achieve this feat by taking on 50 Test matches.
5 – Shakib completed the double of 5000 runs and 200 wickets in ODI cricket in only 178 games to become the quickest to the double. He is one of the five players to complete his ODI double.
8 – Number of times Shakib scored fifty and took a 5-wicket haul in the same Test match. Only Ian Botham (11) scored a fifty and took a 5-fer in a Test on more occasions than Shakib.
14 – As many as 14 players including Shakib have taken 150 wickets and scored 3000 runs in Test cricket. However, only Shakib completed the double by the 50th Test match.
75 – Number of wickets for Shakib in T20I cricket. He is the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the format.
188 – Shakib Al Hasan is the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in Test cricket with 188 wickets. Mohammad Rafique (100) is the only other player to bag 100 Test wickets for Bangladesh.
217 – Shakib’s 217 against New Zealand in the 2017 Wellington Test is the highest individual score for Bangladesh in Test cricket. His unbeaten 134 against Canada in 2007 was the then highest individual ODI score for Bangladesh before Tamim Iqbal surpassed with 154.
235 – The left-arm spinner took 235 wickets in the ODI format so far which are the 2nd most for Bangladesh behind Mashrafe Mortaza’s 237 wickets.
299 – Shakib Al Hasan made 299 appearances for Bangladesh in International cricket. Only Mushfiqur Rahim (312) featured in more Internationals for Bangladesh than Shakib. His 185 ODI caps are the joint-most along with Mashrafe Mortaza.
498 – Shakib is two wickets short of completing 500 wickets in International cricket for Bangladesh. Mashrafe Mortaza is the 2nd highest wicket-taker for them with 357 wickets.
10074 – Shakib Al Hasan is one of the two players till date to score 10000 runs in International cricket for Bangladesh. His 5243 ODI runs and 1237 T20I runs are the 2nd highest for Bangladesh in the respective formats.
