Shikhar Dhawan courts controversy
Well, it did not take Shikhar Dhawan long to court the controversy after he posted the pictures. His post became the talk of the town but for all the wrong reasons because of the ongoing avian flu commonly known as bird flu problem. The District Magistrate (DM) of Varanasi has taken congnisance of the matter and has vowed to take action against the boatmen of the city. He also said that no action would be taken against the tourist.
“So, these boatmen are being identified and tourists generally are not aware of such things. However, it was made clear by the police and the administration to the boatmen that they should not allow the tourists on their boat to feed the birds. Whosoever flouted these rules will be served notice and they will be asked as to why their license should not be canceled… No action will be taken against the tourists,” DM Kaushal Raj Sharma was quoted as saying by Outlook India.
