Shoaib Akhtar sends his condolences to the Amritsar train accident victims

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is the latest cricketer to send his condolences to the victims of the Amritsar train accident. The fearsome pace bowler who rattled batting lineups at his peak has been an active member on the social media post his retirement, expressing his opinion and views.
In the recent tragic incident in Amritsar, a train on the night of Dussehra ran over a number of devotees who were out there celebrating the festival and watching the effigy of Ravana burn on the railway tracks. As per the details shared by the administration more than fifty as informed by the police has taken the world by storm. It was an unfortunate mishap which could have been avoided but due to the lack of awareness by the organizers as well as the railways and local administration, many innocent lives were lost.
Akhtar saddened to hear the news
A lot of global leaders and others from around the world talked about it. The likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, mourned the loss of innocent lives as an aftermath of the incident.
Messages poured in from across the country and world for the families who lost their loved ones in the unlikely incident. Even the cricketing fraternity expressed sorrow over the death as Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and a lot of former and current cricketers come forward to express their feelings on the perturbing incident.
Even Akhtar couldn’t resist himself from tweeting about the tragic accident and was saddened to hear about the loss of lives in such an awful manner. Shoaib quoted a tweet by Imran Khan. “Really sad to hear about the loss of lives like this .., ” he wrote.
