Arshdeep Singh had a memorable outing during the fourth T20I against West Indies on Saturday, August 12 in Florida as he was the pick of the bowlers for India. The left-arm seamer picked up 3/38 in four overs and put the brakes on the scoring rate throughout the innings. Courtesy of his performance, West Indies posted 178/8 in their allotted 20 overs and India won the game by nine wickets.

The left-arm seamer made a terrific comeback after being taken to the cleaners in the third T20I as he leaked 33 runs in three overs. Speaking after the game, Arshdeep revealed that he was under a bit of pressure to perform in front of his family. Notably, Arshdeep’s father Darshan Singh and elder brother Akashdeep Singh were supporting him from the stands in the fourth T20I against West Indies.

“I read the conditions quickly and realised that it is pretty flat. I bowled slower ones on my hard length. It was pre-planned. Father is in Canada to play some tournament. So he tagged along with my brother and came to USA to watch me play. There was a bit of extra support. There was pressure also to perform well in front of them,” said Arshdeep in a video posted by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).
