Ashes 2023: Ollie Robinson wears mismatched pair of shoes during first Test
Australia were dismissed for 386 runs before lunch.
England pacer Ollie Robinson was seen wearing a mismatched pair of shoes in the ongoing first Ashes Test in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
During the contest, Robinson was seen with two different boots which garnered quite a lot of attention. It could be due to the injury he sustained in his left-ankle prior to the series, however, nothing is confirmed.
Australia dismissed for 386 runs before Lunch
Speaking about the match, the Aussies concluded their batting innings with a score of 386 runs. In the process, England got a seven-run lead before heading for Lunch on Day 3. Notably, Usman Khawaja’s brilliant 321-ball 141 kept Australia nearly at par with the Three Lions.
With an umbrella field set by Ben Stokes to dismiss the southpaw, Khawaja’s solid knock came to when Robinson delivered a terrific yorker which the Aussie batter made some room to drive inside-out. However, with the pressure piling up, Khawaja’s off-stump was dislodged with a pearler.
Meanwhile, seasoned pacer Stuart Broad too got three scalps under his belt whereas Moeen Ali added two to his account. With a lead of seven runs, the English side will look to push through in the third innings and will be gunning to post a solid target to stay one step ahead of the Aussies.
