The fans and players were left frustrated as the Pakistan vs India game in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2023 got halted on Sunday, September 10 due to inclement weather at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The frustration was visible on the faces of thousands of fans present at the venue and the players from both teams who were desperate to get the play started. The frustration even got the better of Pakistan captain Babar Azam who flipped out on a member of the ground staff who was trying to take a selfie with him.

In the viral video, Babar can be seen walking towards the dressing room, when the person starts following him and requests a selfie. The Pakistan looks displeased and starts walking away ignoring the person. However, he flips out on him a few seconds later pointing both his arms towards the dressing as if to say ‘Come with me there as well.’

Meanwhile, the Pakistan skipper didn’t have a memorable outing on the next day as well, as his bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Virat Kohli (112* off 94) and KL Rahul (111* off 106). The recorded the highest partnership in Asia Cup history of 233 runs off 193 balls as they helped India post a massive score of 356/2 on the board.

Pakistan skipper’s day even got worse as he returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 (24) losing his stumps to an inswinger by Hardik Pandya. After losing their captain, the entire Pakistan batting succumbed against the spin variations of Kuldeep Yadav who picked up 5/25 in eight overs.

As a result, Pakistan were bundled out for 128 in 32 overs with Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah not coming out to bat handing India a massive win by 228 runs. Notably, it was also Pakistan’s second worst loss in ODIs after their 234-run defeat against Sri Lanka in Lahore in 2009.
