'Feeling terrific as a fast bowler' - Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh interview each other after Napier heroics
Arshdeep and Siraj picked up four wickets each in the final T20I against New Zealand in Napier.
India had an impressive start to their preparations for the 2024 T20 World Cup preparations in a rain curtailed T20I series against New Zealand having won it 1-0. Hardik Pandya who led the side in absence of Rohit Sharma was spot on with his bowling plans and never allowed the game to be dictated by the opponents.
Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh’s emergence in the limited overs has been massive boost to the Indian bowling attack and both of them stood tall in final T20I. Both bowlers picked up four wickets each in the final T20I in Napier and brought back India into the game with the hosts looking all set for a big total to be posted.
Recently, BCCI shared a video of the two future superstars, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj interacting with each other in from Napier and it went viral on the internet.
Here’s the video of Siraj and Arshdeep's conversation
In the video, Siraj responded to the query from Arshdeep about his feeling after the match-winning performance.
“I am feeling terrific as a fast bowler. Performing helps me gain confidence because I was preparing myself for a long time. I was also on standby in the T20 World Cup. So, I was preparing my plan to bowl on the hard length. It wasn’t easy to bowl here,” Siraj told in the video.
Later, Arshdeep was put into the spotlight by Siraj on learning different variations including the knuckleball he used against New Zealand.
“Many experienced and quality bowlers are playing with me, so I try to keep learning. I am learning hard length from you [Siraj] and knuckle-ball from Bhuvi Bhai,” Arshdeep noted.
“Earlier I learned how to use yorkers from Shami Bhai. I keep learning, help the team get wickets, and control the flow of runs when required,” he added.
