Hardik Pandya surpasses global star players as he hits 25 million followers on Instagram
Hardik Pandya posted a video on his official Instagram handle to thank his followers for hitting the 25 million count.
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is undoubtedly one of the most stylish players in the national team. The 29-year-old was recently promoted to the vice captaincy role of India and even won them a series against New Zealand in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma.
Recently, Pandya also hit a major milestone off the field. The Indian star reached 25 million followers on Instagram, surpassing the likes of tennis greats Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer. To celebrate the milestone, he posted a special video on his Instagram handle where he answered 25 questions asked by his wife.
"Thank you to all my fans for the love. Each one of my fans is special to me, and I would like to thank them for the love and support they have given me over all these years," Pandya said in the video.
Pandya captioned the milestone post, "25 MILLION followers on Instagram! I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart for all your love, all your wishes, and all your constant support. Thank you, My beautiful wife @natasastankovic__ decided to ask me 25 questions to celebrate the 25 million of us together."
Pandya to lead India in ODI series against Australia
With the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy scheduled to begin on March 9, a spot in the World Test Championship final is at stake for the hosts. India currently lead the series 2-1, and they will be eager to win the series decider after a major setback in Indore.
Following the Test series, India will then take on Australia in a three-match ODI series. The first match of the ODI series will be played on March 17 at the Wankhede Stadium. The team will be led by Hardik Pandya, as Rohit Sharma will be absent from the first match due to family commitments.
