'It takes 1 hour 10 minutes to get ready' - MS Dhoni unveils struggle behind sustaining fan-favorite hairdo
"I'll try to keep it but maybe one fine day I might decide to chop it off," said Dhoni.
Also renowned for his iconic hairstyles, MS Dhoni, the former Indian cricket team captain and Chennai Super Kings' linchpin, continues to captivate fans even off the field. His recent hairdo had sparked a sensation among enthusiasts, yet Dhoni himself revealed the challenges in maintaining the trend, despite its immense popularity among fans. From his humble beginnings in Ranchi to achieving the status of a cricketing legend, his journey remains a saga of inspiration.
While he bid adieu to international cricket some time ago, his commitment to grace the IPL 2024 with his presence had thrilled fans worldwide. Beyond his on-field achievements, Dhoni's fashion sense has also garnered a devout following. Interestingly, during a recent event, MS Dhoni himself revealed the hidden struggles of maintaining his new hairdo through a video of an event which has gone viral in the social media domain.
"Earlier when I used to go for ad films, I usually got ready in 20 minutes hair, makeup everything. Now it takes 1 hour, 5 minutes- 1 hour, 10 minutes. It's bit boring, just sitting on that chair and waiting, but all my fans have appreciated my hairstyle. So, I'll try to keep it for some time. I agree with you (as the crowd started applauding) but it's quite a task to maintain this. I'll try to keep it but maybe one fine day I might decide to chop it off," Dhoni said in the viral video.
Dhoni does not tell us what he is going to do: Kasi Viswanathan
In early June this year, the 42-year-old underwent knee surgery, and now MS Dhoni is currently undergoing rehabilitation to ensure his readiness for IPL 2024. Despite his assured participation for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming tournament, speculation loomed among fans about his future beyond this season. Addressing this curiosity, CSK's CEO Kasi Viswanathan remarked that only MS Dhoni holds the key to whether IPL 2024 marks his final stint.
"That I do not know. See, as far as the captain is concerned, he will answer you directly. He does not tell us what he is going to do. He is doing well now. He has started his rehab. He started working in the gym. And, probably in another 10 days he'll start working in the nets also," Viswanathan told The Indian Express.
