Social media users were in for a ride after renowned cricket anchor and commentator, Jatin Sapru, uploaded an Instagram post in relation to former Indian cricketer and fellow colleague, Harbhajan Singh, on March 11. The former accused the World Cup winner of allegedly not allowing him to express himself while commentating during India's winning moment in the final of the Champions Trophy on Sunday, March 9.

Jatin even went as far as requesting the appropriate entities to not pair him up with Harbhajan from that point onward. Jatin's allegations on Harbhajan left a lot of netizens taken aback, especially considering the two's camaraderie in the commentator's box.

The erstwhile off-spinner was quick to respond on his own Instagram account. He denied the claims as baseless. He appealed the administrators to make their conversation public in order for the general public to be able to figure the truth out.

The online community of Indian cricket fans and the two personalities' Instagram followers are speculating the back-and-forth to be a potential marketing gimmick. The comments section of Jatin and Harbhajan were a mixed bag, with some Instagram users casting a cloud of apprehension on the two's friendship.
