Star Indian cricketer and former captain Virat Kohli celebrated his 35th birthday on November 5. To mark the occasion, his wife took to Instagram to share a picture of a young Virat Kohli showcasing his bowling skills.

In the caption, she expressed her admiration for Kohli's exceptional abilities in all aspects of his life and praised his continuous achievements. She also expressed her love for him, stating that it extends beyond this life and in every form it may take.

"He is literally EXCEPTIONAL in every role in his life! But somehow continues to add more feathers to his glorious hat 🤔🤪😘😂 I love YOUUU through this life and beyond and endlessly so, in every shape, form, through it all, whatever it may be so," she wrote in her caption.

In response to the post, Kevin Pieterson humorously suggested an alternative caption, saying, "The caption should be - Thank you, Kevin, for always looking out for my husband!"

She also mentioned a unique record that Kohli holds in T20Is, where he dismissed England's Kevin Pietersen with a wide ball in 2011, becoming the only bowler to take a wicket on the 'zeroth' delivery of his T20I career. This record was highlighted by Anushka Sharma in her post.

Virat equals Sachin Tendulkar’s 49 ODI hundreds record

In addition to celebrating his birthday, Virat Kohli also achieved a significant milestone in his cricket career. He smashed his 49th ODI century in the ongoing ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. Kohli has been in superb form throughout the tournament, scoring 543 runs so far.

India are playing their eighth match against South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. Despite a difficult pitch, Kohli showcased his batting prowess and completed his century in 119 balls. This century helped him equal the record of Sachin Tendulkar's 49 ODI centuries.

In the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma provided a strong start before getting dismissed after scoring 40 runs off just 24 balls. Kohli then partnered with Shreyas to build a brilliant 134-run partnership for the third wicket. Shreyas played a remarkable innings of 77 runs before getting dismissed.

Overall, Virat Kohli's brilliant century on his birthday contributed to India reaching a total of 326 runs in their 50 overs on the challenging pitch of Eden Gardens, and now, it will be interesting to see how the Proteas approach this huge run chase on a pitch which looked like was difficult for the batters in the first inning of the match.
