Australian skipper Pat Cummins was left alone on the stage with the ODI World Cup 2023 trophy as the fireworks went off in celebration. The clip of the moment has been making the rounds all over social media. Australia put in an exceptional performance in the summit clash of the World Cup as the side put on a dominant performance against the unbeaten Indian team.

The star pacer was handed the trophy by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi but the Prime Minister quickly left the stage after handing Cummins the trophy. What followed was an awkward moment, where the 30-year-old was left standing with the title in hand alone. The Aussies put in a brilliant performance against team India and managed to clinch the world title. Before the game, Cummins had stated that the side’s aim was to silence the Ahmedabad crowd and the Men in Yellow did just that.

Head scored 137 runs in 120 deliveries, with Labuschagne amassing 58* runs as Australia won the game by seven wickets and lifted the World Cup.
