Rishabh Pant announces donating part of income towards charitable foundation

The wicketkeeper-batter will be in action during the three-match ODI series against England.

Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, shared an important update on the Rishabh Pant Foundation via a clip he posted on his official X account. For the unversed, the RPF is a charitable organisation founded by the wicketkeeper-batter. The primary focus of the body is to empower underprivileged communities through several initiatives in different sectors.

In the video, he attributed his current self to cricket and thanked the sport as well as his supporters in a moment of gratitude for always backing him regardless of the situation. He also shared his life lessons of never losing hope and persevering throughout the task at hand. He also shared that he will be dedicating 10% of his commercial income towards the RPF, and also promised to reveal further details with the passage of time.

"Everything I am, everything I have is because of the beautiful sport of cricket and all I have learnt from the life lessons. I am fortunate to be in a position, and even more full of gratitude a couple of years back. Thanks to your love, blessings, and support, what I have learnt in life is to never give up and always keep smiling with hope. And now my aim is that I can bring more smiles to the people like I do through my game play," expressed Pant in a social media post.

"I've been thinking a lot about giving back, and what better time than now! Going forward, I am dedicating 10% of my commercial income towards the Rishabh Pant Foundation. The RPF is a project very dear to me, and details of the cause are close to my heart. It will be announced in the next couple of months. I'm very excited, and can't wait to get started and share more details with you all! Thank you for your love and support," he added.

Pant will feature in the three ODIs India will play against England before heading over to the United Arab Emirates for the Champions Trophy. In a record-breaking deal in the mega auction for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, Pant was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 27 crore.
