The wedding festivities in the Indian cricket team continue as after KL Rahul and Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur is next in line to tie the knot. Thakur is set to marry his fiancee Mittali Parulkar on February 27, and pictures of the cricketer's Haldi ceremony have gone viral.

Shardul will be getting married in Mumbai in the presence of his close friends and family. Shardul got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Mittali in November 2021. KL Rahul recently tied the knot with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, in January 2023. Soon after Rahul’s wedding,all-rounder Axar Patel got hitched to Meha Patel.

A video has been doing rounds on social media where Shardul Thakur, all decked up in a yellow Kurta, is seen dancing to the tunes of the Marathi song Zingaat, at his Haldi ceremony.

Shardul gears up for Australia ODIs

Speaking about his international career, the pacer last played an international match on January 24, 2023, during the ODI series against New Zealand. He was not included in the Test squad for the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy but will be seen in action for the three-match ODI series against the Aussies. 

India is currently leading the four-match Test series by 2-0, and will be eying to win the next game as well so as to confirm their World Test Championship finale spot. India concluded both, the first and the second Test, within three days to clinch a dominating victory over the Aussies.

While the Rohit Sharma-led side won the first game at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur by an innings and 132 runs, they won the second game by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The third game, which was originally scheduled to play in Dharamshala, was shifted and will now be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

For the final game, the two teams will move to Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Following the completion of the Test series, India will host Australia for three ODIs. The tour will conclude on March 22, and the players will then gear up for the Indian Premier League which is set to begin on March 31, with the curtain raiser scheduled to be played between defending champions Gujarat Titans and four-time champions Chennai Super Kings.
