Suryakumar Yadav congratulated India skipper Rohit Sharma for becoming the first-ever player to take part in 150 T20I games. Rohit achieved the feat during India's second T20I against Afghanistan at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, January 14.

Rohit, the most capped player in t20Is has so far amassed 3853 runs at an average of 31.07, including four centuries and 29 half-centuries. The 36-year-old has captained India to win 40 T20Is at a win percentage of 75.47. In addition, he is one win away from equaling MS Dhoni's record, who has led the team to win 41 times in 72 matches.

Suryakumar took to Instagram and dropped the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) symbol to wish Rohit Sharma on his remarkable feat. For the unreversed, the 33-year-old is sidelined from the ongoing three-match home series due to an injury that he sustained during India's South Africa tour.

Team India restrict Afghanistan to 172 in second T20I

Speaking of the clash, Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat first. Ravi Bishnoi draws first blood, dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the third over. India then got the wickets of captain Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai, leaving the visitors at 60/3 in the seventh over.

Gulbadin Naib then led the charge for Afghanistan, scoring a gritty knock of 57 runs off 35 deliveries, including five boundaries and four maximums. He was dismissed by spin all-rounder Axar Patel. It was Patel's second wicket in the game and 200th wicket in T20Is. Afghanistan batters could not gain momentum after Naib's dismissal as they were restricted to 172 in alloted overs.

Arshdeep was the pick of bowlers for India and finished with excellent figures of 3/32 in his full four-over quota. Apart from Patel, Bishnoi also picked two wickets while Shivam Dube bagged one. India failed to make a solid start, as they lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma for a golden duck. The hosts lost one more wicket inside the powerplay, as Naveen-ul-Haq got Virat Kohli (29).
