Tabraiz Shamsi angered by a ‘rubbish’ fan comment
Team India dominated the Aussies on the first day of the Test match in Nagpur and will be hoping for a similar showing on Day 2.
With the Border Gavaskar Trophy underway, all eyes are on team India and Australia, as both the sides locked horns in the first Test match in Nagpur on February 9. India dominated the Aussies on the first day and many opined that the batting conditions were too tough.
The 32-year-old South African bowler Tabraiz Shamsi also took to Twitter to comment on the playing conditions in India and how tough they are. "Playing against India in India is no easy task," Shamsi wrote on Twitter. Following this tweet, a fan replied that Shamsi had secured his IPL contract for yet another season, which angered the latter.
"I've played against India in India, and you haven't, I'm speaking about something from personal experience, and you are speaking nonsense just for the sake of speaking nonsense. There is a huge difference between the two. No need to throw rubbish comments around, thanks," Shamsi wrote in reply to the fan on Twitter.
Team India dominated Australia on the first day of the Test in Nagpur
As Australia opted to bat first, team India dominated them with a marvellous bowling display. Both the openers were dismissed early, while Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne fought back with knocks that were integral to the Aussies' putting up a decent score on the board. Alex Carey and Peter Handscomb also provided Australia with some much needed runs.
Team India got off to a good start to their batting after skipper Rohit Sharma attacked the Australian bowlers right from the start. Todd Murphy has been sensational for the Aussies on his debut, as he took the wickets of KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Virat Kohli as well.
Nathan Lyon bowled Test debutant Suryakumar Yadav out with a magnificent delivery as Australia look to fight back with the ball after a poor showing with the bat. Skipper Pat Cummins has been unable to perform with the ball so far as the Aussies seem to be depending on the spinners for now.
