'The great man's energy is unmatched' - Ravi Shastri after meeting PM Narendra Modi

The foundation stone-laying event for a new international cricket stadium in Varanasi, UP, saw many stars from the cricket fraternity gather and celebrate the momentous day. Alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath, many stars like Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengsarkar amongst others.
Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri was among the attendees as well. Taking to X, Shastri shared pictures of his meeting with PM Modi where Tendulkar and CM Adityanath could be seen as well.
“Real honour to meet the honourable PM @narendramodi ji at the inauguration of the International Cricket stadium in Varanasi. The energy the Great Man brings to the proceedings is unmatched,” Shastri wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Sachin Tendulkar was also seen having a moment with PM Modi as the former Indian batter presented him with the Indian jersey with ‘Namo’ on the back. The clip of the moment has been doing the rounds all over social media. Speaking of the stadium in Varanasi, the venue will reflect the roots of the city. The roof covers will be crescent-shaped with trident floodlights, with the stairs in the stadium representing the steps of the ghat.
The stadium will also have a capacity of 30,000 players and there have been several reports that stated that the UP government has spent Rs 121 crore in order to acquire the land for the stadium. Furthermore, the BCCI will be spending an additional INR 330 crore for the completion of the stadium.
Notably, the stadium is expected to be completed by December 25, and will officially be the third international cricket stadium in the UP state, with the other two present in Lucknow and Kanpur, respectively.
