Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma share adorable pictures with daughter Vamika as she turns 2
Kohli and Anushka's daughter Vamika was born on January 11, 2021.
Former India skipper Virat Kohli, who is currently a part of the Indian squad for the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka, shared a beautiful picture with his daughter Vamika as she turned two years old on January 11, Wednesday. Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, who got married in December 2017, welcomed the baby girl in January 2021.
Kohli was recently seen in the first of the three ODIs against Sri Lanka as India took on the Islanders at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on January 10. It was a memorable outing for the 34-year-old as he notched up his 45th ODI century, his 73rd international ton overall, and contributed massively towards India’s 67-run victory as the Men in Blue took a 1-0 lead.
Sharing a picture with his daughter Vamika, Kohli wrote: “My heartbeat is 2”, with a red heart emoticon. Since the Indian stalwart is on national duty, he might not be able to spend the day with his daughter, but the magnificent century a day before Vamika’s second birthday would have surely been very special.
Anushka Sharma too shared an adorable picture with her daughter and captioned it saying: “Two years ago my heart grew wide open.” While Virat put up five heart emoticons while commenting on Anushka’s picture, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni, Mayank Agarwal’s wife Aashita Sood, and Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree also commented on the picture wishing their daughter.
Speaking of Kohli’s recent form, the maestro has been in great touch with the bat. After notching up a century in India’s last ODI match of 2022 against Bangladesh, Kohli smashed a century in India’s first ODI match of 2023 to keep the momentum going. Within a span of a few weeks, Kohli has not bagged two ODI tons, taking his total international century tally to 73.
He will next be seen in India’s upcoming match against Sri Lanka, the second ODI, which is set to be histed by the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on January 12, Thursday. India already have a 1-0 lead and will be hoping to win the second game as well so as to clinch the series before moving into the final ODI match.
