Watch: MS Dhoni, Sakshi Singh mark 15th wedding anniversary by cutting cake

MS Dhoni and Sakshi Singh have been one of the most sought-after couples in the cricketing fraternity. The couple tied the knot on 4^th July 2010 after two years of courtship and celebrated their 15^th anniversary by cutting a cake in a low-key ceremony. The duo met in Taj Bengal, Kolkata back in 2007 and the first meet struck a chord blossoming into a love affair before taking the pledge.

Dhoni retired from the Tests in 2014 and Sakshi revealed that the decision came in the wake of spending time with the family. Eventually, the Indian legend gave up the captaincy from all formats in 2017 before announcing international retirement in 2020. The couple cut a cake on their memorable day and Sakshi took to her Instagram account to share the throwback pictures of them. Talking about Sakshi, she is indulged in business activities, handling Dhoni Entertainment (a production company) and an active investor in start-ups.

They are the pillar of strength in the family: Dhoni

Dhoni was vocal about the influence of his mother and wife on his life. While admitting they are hard to deal with, he termed them as the constant pillar of support. It is worth noting that, the former India captain was unavailable as Sakshi delivered their first baby, Ziva, back in 2015. Captain Cool had quipped that he prioritizes national duties over everything as India were in Australia for World Cup 2015.

"They are the pillar of strength in the family. Whether it is my wife or if I see my mom, they are the ones who run the family. She has a budget and she has to run the full 30 days or whatever. They are excellent at it. I feel that they are the ones who bring comfort into our family…you always fall back on them. You can ask them anything,” said Dhoni at an event.
