Watch: Venkatesh Iyer picks legendary Indian wicketkeeper over Sachin Tendulkar
Iyer is set to return to India after his current stint with Lancashire.
Venkatesh Iyer is in the United Kingdom playing for Lancashire after a successful outing in the Indian Premier League 2024 for Kolkata Knight Riders. As part of the Club’s ‘This or That’ segment, Iyer was in conundrum to choose between legendary Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. However, the southpaw after a brief pause picked Dhoni over Tendulkar.
Iyer has been part of the KKR camp since 2021 and has featured for the Indian team in two ODIs and nine T20Is. Coming back to the segment, the 29-year-old chose England’s Phil Salt over Chris Gayle and he even let Virat Kohli go over Dhoni before settling for the veteran’s name against legendary Tendulkar.
