There was an adorably funny imitation by a young Indian supporter from the stands of The Gabba after the dismissal of Travis Head on Day 5 of the third Test between Australia and India. The humorous incident took place during Australia's second innings after the batter was dismissed via a top-edge which was eventually caught by Rishabh Pant.

This was the second instance of Mohammed Siraj getting the better of the talismanic southpaw in the ongoing series. On the completion of the catch, the cameras directed their focus to the young boy was amongst the few to be ecstatically celebrating Head's dismissal from the stands. The boy was absolutely delighted with the wicket and even proceeded to mimic the send-off which Siraj had provided to Head during the pink-ball Test earlier this month.

For the unversed, Siraj's fiery celebration prompted the International Cricket Council to fine 20% (INR 8,95,340) of his match fees. He was also handed one demerit point by the governing body. The day-night Test at the Adelaide Oval ended up in a 10-wicket win for the hosts. On the other hand, Head was reprimanded after he was found guilty to have infringed Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

Head awarded Player of the Match

The third Test played at the Gabba ended in a draw after quite a few rain interruptions during the course of the match. A scintillating 152 by Head was backed up by a redemptive ton from Steve Smith powered Australia to a competitive 445 in their first innings.

Prior to the last-wicket partnership between Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep, elegant displays from KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja gave India's score a decent hint of respectability. Australia declared their innings at a score of 89, only for rain to have the final say during the second over of the run-chase. Head was awarded with the Player of the Match for the second consecutive game.
