In a bid to enhance the cricket-watching experience for fans, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a special announcement for the 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
The tournament, which commenced on October 5, 2023, promises an exciting display of cricketing talent from ten International teams, and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has added an extra bit of convenience for all the cricket fans.
Shah, in a post, said, “I am proud to announce that we're providing FREE mineral and packaged drinking water for spectators at stadiums across India. Stay hydrated and enjoy the games! Let's create unforgettable memories during CWC 2023.”
This move comes as a welcome relief for cricket enthusiasts bracing themselves for a thrilling month and a half of cricket action across ten different venues in India. From the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, fans now have the assurance of free access to mineral and packaged drinking water to beat the heat and enjoy the matches.
The 2023 Cricket World Cup is set to witness a fierce battle among the cricketing powerhouses, including Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. With high-octane clashes lined up at these historic venues, the BCCI's gesture is poised to add value to the spectator experience.

The knockout stage, comprising the semi-finals and the grand finale, promises nail-biting action under the lights.
