India registered a clinical victory against England in Lucknow, beating the defending champions by 100 runs. Everything went too well for India, however, there came a moment when skipper Rohit Sharma couldn't control his emotions at spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Notably, the moment happened in the 22nd over when the spinner didn't go for the DRS call after beating Liam Livingstone on one of his deliveries.

While the spinner missed the chance in the 22nd over, the replayed showed that ball was hitting the leg stumps. However, it didn't cost India much as Yadav went on to clean up the English all-rounder in the 30th over to dent England's batting line-up.

In the 29th game of the ODI World Cup 2023, England won the toss and opted to field first. India tried setting up a big score but most of the batters failed to rise on the occasions. Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front and his sturdy knock off 87 gave India a base to breach the 200-run mark. India posted 230 runs target for England which they failed to chase and got wrapped on just 129 runs.

Liam Livingstone's 27 was the highest individual score from the opposite end as the India bowlers wreaked absolute havoc to let the team remain unbeaten in the marquee ICC event. While Jasprit Bumrah gave India the intial two breakthroughs, Mohammed Shami picked up rhythm from where he left in the New Zealand game and went on to clinch four wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav was yet again clever in his bowling display and went on to pick two wickets as England looked absolutely toothless in Lucknow. Rohit Sharma was later declared as the player of the match for his solid batting show against England on October 29.
