The South African wicketkeeper is known to have a special liking for the Indian team. He scoring tons of runs against India earlier and was expected to pose some trouble to the Indians. However, that wasn’t the case and he has fallen into the trap of the Indian bowlers every single time. In this series, there is not even one notable inning from the bat for de Kock that had helped his team.

Fortunately for him, he was injured midway through the ODI series and had to miss the remainder of the series. He failed to capitalize on most of the starts that he got and was completely down on morale. This was evident when he walked back to the pavilion in the first ODI without even consulting his partner about the DRS call. However, he would be hoping to make the most out of the unexpected break he had got and will want to come back strong in the series against Australia.
