The things heated up significantly on the fourth day when David Warner and Quinton de Kock were involved in a banter while going back for the tea break. The match was getting close courtesy the partnership between Markram and De Kock and the sledging was also going from the visitors. However, while on their way back and into the tunnel, Warner looked extremely angry over de Kock and even ran over him only to be held back by his teammates.

The CCTV footage of the ugly altercation has also gone viral now and reports suggest that De Kock had a personal dig at Warner which evoked an emotional response from him. While the sledging and the banter on the field are part and parcel of the game, the players should never cross the line which then might take the ugly turn. However, the ICC is looking into the incident now and both the players might get fined over the matter.
