Sri Lankan Cricket Board to enquire against Suresh Raina: The Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC) under constant pressure form the Sri Lankan media on the issue involving Indian batsman Suresh Raina has finally decided to form a probe panel to look into the matter and investigate if the findings are substantial enough to have an impact.

The allegation is that Suresh Raina was spotted in the hotel CCTV camera at Dambulla with a girl way back in 2010 who is supposed to have been in touch with a bookie. If the Hindustan times report is to be believed the SLC in its executive committee meeting on 18 December 2014 decided to constitute a panel which will have executive members Shammi Silva, Gamini Wickramasinghe and other members.
Surprisingly the BCCI officials in their response to the allegations said that the girl spotted with Raina who is also in question happens to be his agent.

Silva is believed to have said that if the SLC has no involvement whatsoever in the Raina issue “it should protest the same”. The Sri Lankan board President looked to be on same terms with the idea and prompted to make the committee.

Consider this news to strike a thunder at the BCCI as the Richest Cricket Board in the world is under immense pressure following the order by the Supreme Court of India in which it has found Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra both of whom are team owners/ officials in the Indian Premier League and in fact the former is Son in law to the Big man N Srinivasan who has now elevated himself as the ICC President. The SC has also asked former Chief Justice of India RM Lodha to decide the punishment that the convicts deserve.

The SLC investigation will further tighten the grip on BCCI to act hard against players, officials and keep a constant check on their involvements.
