1. Aditya Tare hammers Maharashtra

Captain Aditya Tare (65 from 39 balls) along with the help of Shreyas Iyer (38 from 28 balls) and Siddhesh Lad (31 from 20 balls) chased down the commendable total of 155 put up by Maharashtra. Mumbai won the toss and put Maharashtra to bat, who despite losing wickets regularly, batted well enough to go past the 150-run mark. This was largely possible due some handy knocks from NS Naik (31 in 18 balls) and PJ Bhati (36 in 26 balls). However, their bowlers were not competitive enough to contain the Mumbai batsmen who batted freely and emerged victorious.

2. Karnataka trounce Odisha in a low-scoring chase

Odisha, after being put in to bat, were never able to break free from the tight grip of the Karnataka bowlers, who were bowled very miserly today. Wickets fell in bunches and the run rate never went over 6 as Odisha played the full quota of overs and could accumulate only 102 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, Karnataka has a bad start as Mayank Agarwal lost his wicket in the first over itself. Karun Nair and R Samarth were also out for double digit scores. But, Robin Uthappa (48 from 41 balls) and Stuart Binny (32 from 30 balls) finished off the target without any hassle to complete a six-wicket win.

3. Services bowlers succumb to Uttar Pradesh bowlers

Uttar Pradesh had a very easy day on the field as they comfortably beat the under-par Services side by 57 runs. In true words, UP bowlers choked the Services batting line up. Right from the first over, wickets kept falling. The only moment of solace for the services came in the form of a 71-run partnership between middle order batsmen Vikas Hathwala (31 from 33 balls) and Yashpal Singh (47 from 32 balls). Otherwise, no one could even score a double digit figure. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh cruised to a formidable score of 182/6 riding on the brilliance of Eklavya Dwivedi (89 from 53 balls) and the late thrust by Saurabh Dubey (38 from 17 balls).
