Major League Cricket 2023 Points Table

The inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC) is all set to begin on July 13. It is worth noting that the tournament’s summit clash is scheduled to be held on July 30.  A total of 19 matches will be played throughout the competition and with the season opener scheduled on July 13, the first match will see Texas Super Kings and Los Angeles Knight Riders take on each other.

Six teams will compete in the competition in a format quite similar to that of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is also stated that the entire competition will be divided into two legs, with the first leg witnessing eight league matches at Texas' Grand Prairie Stadium. Furthermore, the second leg will see seven matches being played at North Carolina’s Church Street Park. Further, the playoffs will be held at the Grand Prairie Stadium as well.

Quite similar to the IPL, the top four teams in the points table by the end of the league stages will qualify for the knockout stages with four playoff matches being scheduled. They will be played at Texas' Grand Prairie Stadium, and will include Eliminator, Qualifier, Challenger match and the Final.

There is major excitement ahead of the start to the tournament as four of the six franchises competing are owned by Indian Premier League team owners. With the season opener scheduled for July, it could be interesting to see which side comes out on top and clinches the inaugural Major League Cricket title.
