Technical flight fault leaves team Delhi stranded at Indore airport after Ranji finals
Unmukt Chand revealed the news on the social media.
Team Delhi recently lost the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 finals against the spirited Vidarbha side. Vidarbha registered their first ever title win in the history of the tournament. Meanwhile, Delhi’s camp dented their chances of winning the coveted silverware after almost a decade. They had been one of the most impressive sides in the tournament but suffered a blip in the game that matter.
Well, the match was done and dusted but the fortunes for the Delhi’s players did seem to change even after the game. The players of the Delhi Ranji team were left stranded at Indore after the final game. The finals of the tournament was played at Indore. After the conclusion of the game, the teams were expected to depart for their respective destinations from the Indore airport.
While the flight for the Vidarbha side took off on time, the flight for the Delhi’s side suffered a technical glitch. As a result of the technical issue, the flight had to abruptly stop on the run way. The players and the team management were certainly least impressed with the arrangements made at the venue.
‘Gratitude everyone is safe’
Unmukt Chand, a senior member of the Delhi side, took to micro blogging site Twitter to elucidate the entire episode to the fans. In his tweet, he mentioned that the team is stranded at the airport due to a technical snag in the flight. They now hope to find a hotel soon in case the next flight takes off later. He also mentioned that there is very little that the players can do in such situations.
