The inaugural edition of The Hundred in England is coming close to its climax as the final league stage game is set to be played on August 18. The penultimate game between Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Superchargers witnessed some crazy hitting from Liam Livingstone as he hit a massive 10 sixes and entertained the crowd at Headingley. His knock helped the Phoenix chase down the total easily and also secured their place in the final.

However, apart from Livingstone’s brilliant knock, another moment which sought attention of the viewers was a sensational catch from a fan. The fan in the stands managed to get hold of one of the sixes hit by Livingstone during his outing.

But the hilarious point about the catch was the fan literally fell off his seat and went into the front row but managed to successfully catch the ball. He was so elated that he celebrated the moment to the fullest and even the crowd at the stadium lauded him for his efforts.

Here’s the video:

Livingstone shines with both bat and ball for Phoenix

As far as the match is concerned, after being put into bat first, the Superchargers openers Chris Lynn and Tom Kohler-Cadmore got the team off to a superb start. They churned out 95 runs in only 54 balls. Cadmore was the aggressive of the two smashing 71 runs off just 44 balls. But once the partnership was broken, the Superchargers collapsed courtesy of some superb bowling from none other than Livingstone.

The Phoenix skipper brought himself into the attack as the sixth bowler and conceded only 25 runs off his quota of 20 balls picking up three massive wickets. Superchargers could only reach 143 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 100 balls.

In response, Phoenix lost Will Smeed for a golden duck but little did Superchargers know that Livingstone will blow them away with the bat too. The England batsman smacked an unbeaten 92 off only 40 balls with three fours and 10 massive maximums. The Phoenix chased down the target in just 74 balls to win by eight wickets and top the table to seal a place in the final.
