Sachin Tendulkar scored 673 runs, the world record for most runs in a World cup, in the 2003 edition. He played with supreme touch and confidence against each opponent, his only failures coming against Australia twice in the tournament. His average in the tournament was 61.18 and he scored 1 century and a record 6 half centuries in the tournament.
Sachin scored a brutal 152 against Namibia. But his most important knocks were the 98 against Pakistan in the group stages and a master class 97 against Sri Lanka in the Super Six group stage.
