10. Sachin Tendulkar – 139:
Sachin Tendulkar opened with Rahul Dravid in the 3rd ODI against Australia at the Nehru stadium in 2001, Indore. Tendulkar had always had a liking for the Australian bowling attack and he proved it once again by hitting a match-winning knock of 139. His knock comprised of 19 boundaries. India were batting first and although his opening partner Dravid departed early, Tendulkar batted together with VVS Laxman for a 199 runs partnership which laid the platform for a challenging total on the scoreboard. He batted till the final phases of the first innings and could be dismissed only in the 46th overs. Indian bowlers complemented Sachin’s brilliant efforts by bowling out Australia for a paltry score of 181 and they won the match by a margin of 118 runs.
