A strike rate of 115.35 and a mindset of a champion, Virender Sehwag’s love affair with the red cherry was on display at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. He smacked 40 boundaries and 7 sixes as India made a mammoth 726 with Sehwag scoring a scintillating 293.
He missed out on a record breaking triple but the damage was done as India won the match by an innings and 24 runs. Sehwag was at his best, as he sent the bowlers for leather hunt time and again. Muralitharan took a safe caught and bowled to dismiss the danger man.
