It’s been more than a decade since Kane Williamson had made his international debut undoubtedly making himself NZ’s most cherished batsman since the legendary Martin Crowe. The right-handed batsman despite being a classical touch player who immaculately blends his batting with his gritty temperament has also been a reliable run-machine in the shortest format of the game.

The 30-year old was also a pioneer in the current batting club of fab five and is an elusive non-Asian batter who can seamlessly play some vigorous spin bowling. Especially in Test cricket where Williamson has scored the most number of runs, the 30-year old has played 85 games and has amassed 7230 runs at a phenomenal average of 53.96.

His chunk of 24 centuries in the longest format also yields him the top spot in the list of most centuries scored by an NZ player. Williamson also has a soothing ODI record just like his demeanour where from his 151 matches about 6174 runs have come from his bat at a commendable average of 47.49.

In the T20Is, Williamson was the fastest NZ player to reach 1000 runs and is currently the fourth-highest run-getter of the team. With his 67 T20I appearances, a total of 1805 runs have been scored that also includes Williamson’s 13 fifties. Overall, in NZ’s sweet cricketing folklore Kane Williamson will surely end up as the country’s best-ever produced intentional cricketer.
