It’s only fitting that a sub-continent player tops the list after 8 of the 10 names on this list being from the sub-continent.

There’s also this theory that the sub-continent players play more ODI’s than an Australian or an Englishman. Maybe that is also one of the reasons we see so many Lankans, Indians and Pakistanis on the list.

Marvan Atapattu was another Lankan and probably one of the slowest runners in the Lankan side. Known for his good technique and patience, Atapattu tops our list of the players who have been run-out most times in ODIs.
