When India played West Indies in a historic match at Lauderhill Stadium, Florida, a new world record was created. The match saw India losing by just 1 run and surely was one of the most entertaining games of the recent times. While the bowlers had a tough time in the middle, the pitch was an absolute batsmen delight. This was the first instance in a T20I when there was a century scored in each inning.

The bowlers would definitely like to forget these occasions. There have been many instances when the wicket has turned out to be an absolute bowlers’ graveyard and the batsmen have made the most of their chances.

Here is the list of top 10 most runs scored in a T20I match:

10. Australia v England at Hobart, 2013/14 – 413 runs

England locked horns with Australia at Hobart in the first T20I of their tour in 2013. Australian openers Cameron White (75 off 43 balls) and Aaron Finch (52 off 31) gave a brisk start to the hosts. The 106 run opening stand came in just 64 balls. Some late hitting by Chris Lynn was all that was needed for Australia to post 213/4 in their 20 overs.

England batting lineup was rocked by Nathan Coulter-Nile’s 4 wicket haul and could only manage to score 200/9 in their 20 overs. An unbeaten 65 off 27 by Ravi Bopara kept England interested until the very end.

A total of 413 runs was scored in the match and a total of 22 sixes were hit in the match. Ravi Bopara accounted for 7 of them.
