Top 10 Teams With Most Wickets in T20 Internationals: T-20 cricket is like that happening party for spectators and audiences where in the shortest frame of times, they are served with delicious dishes and matchless cocktails of fascinating lusty blows and some outrageous pills of entertainment. They have the best economy and average in the list. The Irish hold a miser economy rate of 6.70 with an average of 18.81 They have taken five 4-wicket hauls and have bowled a handful of 16 maiden overs in this format of the game. The team which made its international T20 debut in 2006, has featured in 62 matches and has bowled 13 precious maidens. Their economy is 7.55 and they have averaged 25.90 per wicket which is the worst among the list. Bangladesh also has picked up as many as five 4-wicket hauls and two 5-wicket hauls. The Indian team has always been known for its star studded batting line-ups over the years. In this format of the game, they have claimed 424 wickets in 73 matches at an average of 24.26 per innings. They have taken seven 4-wicket hauls while the Indian bowlers are yet to pick up a 5 wicket-haul in the shortest format. The Indians have an economy rate of 7.41 per match and have bowled 25 maidens so far in T20 Internationals. 7. West Indies: 436 wickets: West Indies. So far, they have 12 maidens to the credit and an economy rate of 7.54. Windies have taken one 5 wicket haul and nine 4 wicket-hauls up to this point. Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine have been their star bowlers in T20s and have dominated the top positions in the ICC rankings. 6. England: 478 wickets: England. England’s average of 25.84 is the second worst in the list. They have taken six 4 wicket hauls but are yet to open their account as far as 5 wicket hauls are concerned. They have the economy rate of 7.88 which is the worst in the list as well. 5. Sri Lanka: 481 wickets: Sri Lanka. Lanka hold a decent economy rate of 7.30 while they are on second with most number of maidens in the list- 25. They have compiled seven 4 wicket-hauls and four 5 wicket-hauls in T20Is. Sri Lanka has taken the second highest number of 5 wicket-hauls in T-20 matches. Lasith Malinga and Ajanta Mendis are their premier bowlers in this format of the game. Figures of 6/8 by Ajanta Mendis are the best bowling figures in this format of the game. 4. Australia: 519 wickets: Australia. They have played 88 matches and have capped the most number of players which is 83 in a span of 10 years. They average 24.62 per wicket with an economy rate 7.66. The Aussies have taken six 4 wicket hauls and a five-fer. They have bowled the third most number of maidens in the list. On 20 occasions, the Australians bowlers have been able to bowl six precious dot balls in an over. 3. New Zealand: 541 wickets: New Zealand. On 17 February 2005, they featured in the 1st T20 international match with the Australians. New Zealand has the second worst economy rate in the list as its 7.67 per match. They wrap up the wickets at an average of 24.24 and have 19 maidens to their name. The Black Caps have claimed eight 4 wicket hauls and one 5 wicket haul in T-20s. 2. The Proteas have taken the second highest number of 4 wicket hauls in T20s. South Africa has accumulated eleven 4 wicket hauls and two 5 wicket hauls. Their average of 22.58 is the fourth best in the list of top 10 teams. They have aggregated a total of 17 maidens and have an economy rate of 7.53 per match. 1. Pakistan: 643 wickets: Pakistan. In 106 matches, they have picked up 643 wickets. Pakistan’s economy rate and average per wicket is the second best in the top 10 list. They average 22.48 per wicket and have given away runs at a miserly economy rate of 7.12. The Pakistani’s have taken the maximum numbers of 4 wicket hauls which is 15 and are tied in the list with maximum Five-fers with South Africa at 2 each respectively.
