Top 5 leading run-scorers in the PSL
With a lot of festivities in the offing, Pakistani cricket fanatics are waiting with baited breath for PSL 3 to kickoff. And ahead of the season, we take a recap of the top 5 run-scores in the league so far.
2. Kamran Akmal (Pakistan) – 504 runs
The top of the leaderboard shows the domination of Pakistani cricketer as wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal takes the second spot. He enjoyed a scintillating outing in 2017 after opening his campaign with a magnificent 88 of 48 just 48 balls against Islamabad United.
With impeccable statistics of 504 runs, the high score of 104, Akmal is one of the leading cricketers in the PSL. He is only the second cricketer to hit a century in the tournament after Sharjeel Khan’s 117 in the inaugural season.
The gloveman went on to finish the tournament as the leading run-scorer with 353 runs and won the green cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award for the best batsman as well as the Imtiaz Ahmed award for the best wicketkeeper of the season with a total of 12 dismissals.
