1. Steve Smith

Steve Smith was leading runs scorer in this test series. He was made the captain of the test side from the second test match onwards. In the first test he scored 162 and 52 runs. Smith carried the supreme form in the next three test matches as well. In the second test he scored 133 and 28. Melbourne test saw him smash 192 and 14 runs in both the innings. In the final test match he scored 117 and 71. Smith played 8 innings in the series  and scored 769 runs. The Indian bowlers did not have any armor in their bowling to test the batsman of Smith’s calibre and talent.
