Dennis Lillee took the first ever 5 wicket haul in Australia’s first World cup match in 1975 World cup. This also made him the first bowler to take 5 wickets on World cup debut also.

Pakistan were chasing 279 runs in 60 overs, but Thomson and Lillee never let them settle and Lillee came back to finish off the tail and complete his 5 wickets for the match. He gave away 34 runs in his 12 overs.
