3. Australia – Steven Smith

Steven Smith escalated through the ranks in the Australian team in a very short span of time. Smith relies on his unorthodox batting technique to squash the bowlers around the ground in the 50 over format as well as in the T20I’s.

Smith began to show the glimpses of his batting talent in early 2013 and has been prolific with the bat since. His most memorable performance came in the year 2014 when he was in the best of his form.

He carried forward his golden form in the 2015 World Cup, scoring two centuries in the mega event. The tournament was eventually won by Australia.
