3.Virat Kohli – 141

Now this one is the most recent knock and the one which will be talked about for years to come. Australia set a daunting target of 364 and the pitch was doing all sorts of mischief, the ball was turning, bouncing obnoxiously and pacers were getting the ball to reverse. In came Virat Kohli the stand in India skipper on his captaincy debut and started playing like a dream. He clobbered bowlers in every nook and corner of the ground. It felt like he was batting on a day 3 track, which plays completely true to the batsmen not on a 5th day, questions asking track. Unfortunately he could not take the side home and fell at a crucial stage in the match attempting a six against Nathan Lyon but the sheer audacity, fearlessness with which Virat batted, showed in this innings will make this knock immortal.  With the kind of impact this 141 has not only on the match but on the morale of the entire team we rate it as high as the 3rd best knock by an Indian in Australia.
