The 20-year-old Pakistani bowling all-rounder Hassan Khan is churning out better performances as every game progresses. He has picked up his second four-wicket haul in three games in the tournament and thus helped Punjabi Legends bag another impressive win. Also, this amazing spell helped end the four-match winning streak of the Pakhtoons.

The Punjabi Legends rejig their batting order

Toss is a major factor in the T10 League and the Legends had no hesitations to take the field after winning it. Praveen Kumar dismissed the dangerous Cameron Delport early in the innings. From the other end, Hassan Khan took over and didn’t let the batsmen capitalize on the good starts that they got. The left-arm orthodox bowler hit great areas and kept the batsmen searching hard for runs.

Skipper Colin Ingram, who is in great form, was dismissed by Kumar after he raced to 29 from 15 balls. While Hasan Khan picked up four wickets in the innings, Praveen accounted for two scalps. In 10 overs, the Pakhtoons only managed to put up 102 runs on the board which was always going to be below-par.

A rejigged batting order in the chase

In the chase, the Punjabi Legends rejigged their batting order as their top order wasn’t giving good results. Tom Moores walked out to open with Umar Akmal. These two provided the side with a good start. While the former scored 19 off 8 balls, the Pakistani batsman scored 41 off 21. However, Luke Ronchi yet again ended up disappointing one and all by getting out for a golden duck.

With Philip Salt and Shaiman Anwar also falling cheaply, the Pakhtoons might have sensed a positive result. But, Evin Lewis, who came in at number six smashed 20 from 8 balls to finish things off. Liam Dawson was great and picked two wickets in the only over that he bowled. Four runs were conceded in that over.

Twitterati was thrilled to see the Pakistani duo of Hassan Khan and Umar Akmal contribute massively to this win. At the same time, the Pakhtoons fans were disappointed to see their team end their winning streak.
