Twitter user hilariously tries to give Shane Warne advice on spin bowling; Virender Sehwag joins in
Warne was not happy for the fact that the Kiwis didn't include a spinner in their eleven.
Shane Warne, the former Australian cricketer, wasn’t happy after New Zealand didn’t include a spinner in their eleven for the World Test Championship final against India at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
The Kiwis have gone in with Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Kyle Jamieson, Colin de Grandhomme, and Neil Wagner for the all-important encounter. Boult, Jamieson, and Wagner have tasted success with one wicket each. Southee and De Grandhomme are yet to get a wicket.
Warne reckoned that as the game progresses, the footmarks on the pitch will come into play and the spinners will get a fair amount of assistance.
Warne took to Twitter and wrote, “Very disappointed in Nz not playing a spinner in the #ICCWorldTestChampionship as this wicket is going to spin big with huge foot marks developing already. Remember if it seems it will spin. India makes anything more than 275/300! The match is over unless weather comes in !”

In the meantime, one of the fans explained to Warne the reason why the Black Caps didn’t include a spinner in their playing eleven for the match. The fan replied to Warne and wrote, “Shane do you understand how spin works? The pitch gets dry… this pitch won’t get dry because of the rest of the test, there is due to rain.”
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took note of the conversation. In his trademark cheeky style, he asked Warne to frame the fan’s comment. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Frame this, @ShaneWarne and try to understand some spin.”

As far as the match was concerned, the first day’s play was washed off due to persistent rain. On the second day, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill’s 62-run stand for the opening wicket started proceedings. But both of them perished in a space of 26 balls as New Zealand made a comeback.
Cheteshwar Pujara couldn’t enter the double digits. Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, put his head down for an unbeaten 124-ball 44. He was patient as he hit only one four in his knock. Ajinkya Rahane also showed patience staying not out on 29 runs off 79 balls with four fours.
