Virat Kohli challenges Bollywood actors for the upcoming ‘Celebrity Classico’ football match
The match between the two teams ended in a draw last year.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has challenged the Bollywood actors with his ‘stamina over style’ statement ahead of the upcoming football game. He is all set to lead All Hearts FC against All Stars FC that features the Bollywood stars. The match will be played after the conclusion of the ongoing T20I series against Australia on October 15 on Sunday. The final T20I of the ongoing series between India and Australia will be played on Friday (October 13) which means most members of the national team will be available for the high-profile annual event.
However, the match studded with the stars is expected to be a sell-out and will be held at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. Actor Ranbir Kapoor will lead the All Stars FC which will include some of the other big names from the B Town as well. Star Sports, the official broadcaster of this match, announce the clash on Twitter.
The 28-year-old challenged his friends from Bollywood and expressed that style is of no use in football and it requires stamina to be played. “This time in Celebrity Clasico, my Bollywood friends will come to know that here stamina wins over style. And there are no re-takes in football,” Kohli said. However, Star Sports is also doing its bit to reach the maximum number of people and promoted the game on Twitter. Their message read, “You have seen @ImVKohli ruling the cricket field, now get set to watch him lead All Heart FC against All Stars FC in the Celebrity Clasico!”

What happened last year?
This is not the first time the superstars from the cricket field and the silver screen clash on the football field. Last year the teams had locked horns and it was a hard-earned draw for the Virat Kohli led side. KL Rahul had scored an equaliser in the final moments of the game as they were lagging in the game right through. This time though Kohli would love to win the match and continue his winning streak.
